Keeping It Together During the Holidays

Not everyone looks forward to the holiday season. Even those of us who thoroughly enjoy this upcoming season can sometimes be overwhelmed and disappointed at times.

As we begin to start thinking of holiday parties, trees, gifts and glittery magic of the upcoming major holiday season, it’s important to recognize what you need to stay healthy and centered.

Sometimes We Need Peace & Quiet

It’s ok to not accept every invitation or attend every gathering during the season. Sure, it’s nice to see friends and those we’ve not seen in awhile but sometimes we need to have that time for our needs. Our time to rest, reflect and have a moment to ourselves is also very important during this season.

Being With Family Isn’t Always “Fun”

Families are all different and each have their own eccentric way. Bringing together family can be very fulfilling especially during the holidays. It can be very fun to see family that live long distance from you and spend time together. However, this can also be a very stressful and can become strained at times during these visits.

Keep the spirits high and tempers at bay by diffusing oils in the major spaces where family is gathering. These oils support our emotions and help us manage stress when things start to get tense.

Balancing Indulgences

This is the “eating season” where we are constantly surrounded with foods and sweets! Every where you go there will be appetizers, buffets, snacks, baked goods and confections. This ongoing eating opportunity frenzy can easily and often does result in weight gain, upset stomachs and feeling sick from over-doing.
