Pumpkin Mania
It seems as soon as there is any hint of cooler weather in the forecast people flock to the pumpkin flavored drinks and foods. Everywhere you go will be ads, aromas and flavors full of pumpkin.
While pumpkin is a fantastic food that is full of vitamins and minerals, the pumpkin flavoring and sugary versions of this super food are not that healthy for you. On top of being laden with calories and fats, often these pumpkin flavored foods are just hyped up junk food. It is unfortunate but that favorite latte or pumpkin flavored biscuit are probably full of flavoring that is not actually pumpkin.
For all of you who love that pumpkin flavoring and want an authentic experience of taste, aroma and benefits you can achieve this with essential oils and a real pumpkin.
Pumpkin Latte and Coffee Flavoring
A healthy version of the popular coffee pumpkin drink. You can make your own creamer using dairy or non-dairy milk varieties. This will not only save you a bundle of money and time standing in line to purchase it but it will not contain the sugars and calories!
Take 1 8-10 ounce carton of your favorite milk or creamer.
Add 1 -2 drops each of the following oils. We recommend if you’ve never done this to start with 1 drop each and taste it before adding more. These oils are very strong and a little goes a long way.
Ginger
Cassia
Clove
Cinnamon Bark
Mix well before each use and then just add to your coffee when you need a pumpkin fix!

Pumpkin Risotto
This super yummy dish can be flavor enhanced by replacing the black pepper and thyme with essential oil versions (1 drop only of each) We also like to add a little clove essential oil to compliment the pumpkin.
