Reset What You Resolve for 2019
It’s funny to talk about resetting your 2019 resolutions when it’s not even New Years Eve yet but the truth is, most of us will never even make it a week upholding our resolutions.
Every year we set good intentions and aspirations to make this new year better than the last. We outline what we want to accomplish and how great it will be to turn the page on the calendar.
Yet, by the 2nd or 3rd week of January when we’ve returned to work after the holidays and it’s bitter cold outside, most of us are right back to our normal routines, bad habits and have long forgotten what we even were talking about on our resolutions.
Changing the Odds to Your Favor
Instead of waiting until New Years Eve to set your resolution and not have a chance of materializing here’s a challenge….
Set short term goals now and space them throughout the new year to achieve. Align one of them to be realized by January 1 to enter the new year with a win already in your pocket!
Use the momentum of the holiday hectic schedule to your favor. There’s still a good month until the new year so it’s a perfect time to use time to your advantage.
Giving yourself mini-challenges are much more attainable and can give us that “quick win” burst of excitement to build momentum. Once we have momentum it’s easier to build on our accomplishments and keep going.
Where to Start
If your typical resolution is to lose weight and exercise more that’s GREAT!
Let’s help you actually achieve that by setting you up for success right now in the middle of December and the holiday eating season!
With incorporating some natural health products into your life now when things are more relaxed and easy going with numerous holiday parties and bustle of the season you will be gifting yourself with some easy healthy foundational steps.
Water
Water intake decreases in the winter in favor of warmer beverages, alcohol and sodas. We are less likely to feel thirsty in the colder seasons even though our bodies actually need even more water to stay hydrated.
Boost your water intake by using a couple drops of essential oils. Not only will it not taste like water but it will be helping your body detox those heavy foods, boost your immunity and ensure you stay hydrated.
